Vehicle safety related protocols have been standardized in 2010, and related technology experimental projects have been launched in the United States and the European Union C-V2X is the new car-connected communication standard based on the traditional cellular mobile network (4G / 5G), and it is also one of the most important commercial scenarios in many 5G applications.
At present, DSRC patents are basically controlled by the United States, Japan, and South Korea. U.S. corporate patents account for more than 50%, and Chinese companies account for about 9%. As for C-V2X, because it is an emerging technology and is in the process of standard setting, China accounts for about 30%, and the United States and Europe also account for about 30%.
Looking at the industry trend, although the scale construction of 5G networks in China has been started, considering the standardization of 5G-V2X and the relatively lagging product progress, LTE-V2X facilities and 5G-V2X facilities will coexist for a long time, and the subsequent transition to 5G-V2X will be the main.
